GLA Election Committee Documents

The GLA Election Committee is responsible for accurate, honest and fair elections.
They must work closely with the Treasurer and Project Review because only members
in good standing are allowed to vote. Precise record keeping and hard work to meet
multiple deadlines is required. 200 to 300 hours of intense volunteer work go into
every successful Annual Election.

2026 Calendar

June 23 - The GLA Board approves the Nomination Packet.
July 1st - We distribute the Nomination Packet to landowners by email and US Post. The packet will also be posted on the GLA website Election Committee page.
August 15 at 5 PM Montana Time - GLA deadline for receiving nominations from landowners.
September 7 - The Election Committee finalizes the Annual Election Ballot Packet.
September 15 - We distribute the Annual Election Ballot Packet to landowners by US Mail ONLY.
November 4 and 5th - ATS counts ballots and sends initial results to the GLA Upon Board review and approval ATS certifies results.
November 5 and 6th - GLA Board confirms elected candidates will serve.
November 6 to 8th - Election is announced to the community via eblast.
November 17 - GLA Board meeting for 2026 Directors.
November 21st - Annual Meeting of the Community (in-person), Introduction of 2027 Directors.
December 8th - Final GLA Board meeting for 2026 Directors with 2027, Directors seated at the end of the meeting, and 2027 officers elected by 2027 Directors..
December 15 - Scheduled 1st meeting for 2027 GLA Board, tentative and at the discretion of 2027 Directors.
